Meet Dr. Craig Weitzma

Dr. Craig Weitzman is a 2010 graduate of Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine. He completed his training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at New York Medical College and had the privilege to serve as chief resident at Westchester Medical Center.
Dr. Weitzman is well trained in the full scope of oral surgery including facial trauma, pathology, reconstruction, dentoalveolar surgery, orthognathic surgery, TMJ surgery, cosmetic surgery, and pediatric surgery. In addition, he has experience in all types of office based surgical procedures, including the most current implant surgery techniques, hard and soft tissue management, and contemporary prosthetic strategies.
Dr. Weitzman had the opportunity to educate and provide services to patients in remote villages with limited access to care in both the Dominican Republic and Chile. He performed a full array of dental and oral surgery procedures on children ranging from basic extractions to sophisticated cleft lip and palate repair.
Dr. Weitzman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is currently active in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, and the Queens County Dental Society.
Dr. Weitzman is currently on staff in the Department of Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital of the Northwell Health System.
He is certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Dr. Weitzman is passionate about dentistry and believes in a team approach. He takes great pride in his work and developing relationships with his patients and referring doctors. He continues to expand his knowledge and expertise in oral surgery by attending continuing education seminars and reviewing new publications.
Dr. Weitzman has been in private practice with the Oral Surgery and Implant Center in Forest Hills since 2014.
