Oral Surgeon Howard Weitzman, DDS

Dr.WDr. Howard Weitzman earned his Doctor of Surgery (DDS) degree from New York University College of Dentistry in 1978.  In 1982, he completed his Residency in General Dentistry and Specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center.

In1984, Dr. Weitzman established a private practice with his then partner, Dr. Daniel Pompa, which became known as The Oral Surgery and Implant Center. Dr. Pompa has since retired and in August of 2015 Dr. Weitzman welcomed his son, Dr. Craig Weitzman, into the practice.

Dr. Howard Weitzman has presented lectures to various organizations and groups such as Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, Brooklyn Hospital, Queens County Dental Society, numerous dental study clubs and is the Co-Director of The Oral Surgery and Implant Center Study Club.

Dr. Weitzman is a member of the Queens County Dental Society (QCDS), American Dental Association (ADA), New York State Dental Association (NYSDA), Academy of Osseointegration (AO), International Congress of  Oral Implantologists (ICOI), and the   American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS).

Dr. Howard Weitzman, in conjunction with Dr. Daniel Pompa, was issued a US patent for an apparatus and method for locating an ideal site for a dental implant and for the precise surgical placement of that implant. US patent 5320529
